Our mission

Our mission is to ensure every single student who wants to immerse themselves in academic excellence through public speaking is able to do so through a universal platform. We aspire to break the boundaries of simply an 'academy' and instead become a space for students to truly immerse themselves in what we offer. 

Meet the Core Team


  • President

    Asher is an accomplished debater who has won multiple awards at highly competitive debate and MUN tournaments in the New England circuit and placed gold in international competitions, most recently at Doha, Qatar. Asher hails from Singapore and studies at St. Paul’s School, a nationally ranked US boarding high school with a 12% acceptance rate.


  • Vice President

    Farhad leads the international debate program through collaboration with academies in multiple countries. He is an accomplished debater and has placed gold in numerous competitions and competed at a selective tournament at Yale University.

Volunteer Applications

Please email contact@kohalaacademy.com for more information about volunteering. Volunteers must pass our rigorous standards and are highly qualified in their field of training. Accepted volunteers are awarded signed certificates after volunteering for a certain number of hours, which they can then go on to use in their university applications and beyond.
